Our Pots of Paint range is a palette steeped in history and inspired by the natural world. We are colour experts with 20 years experience in interior design and we have teamed up with Aglaia, one of Europe's most renowned natural paint manufacturers, to produce our Pots of Paint range.

We believe that the problem with synthetic paints is that their formulations and ingredients pose a threat to human health, to the preservation of buildings and to the protection of the environment.

We are all familiar with the use of crude oil derived petro-chemicals to make plastics. Modern paint- uses retort chemistry and an undeclared range of artificial resins and synthetic solvents to manufacture what could be described as 'liquid plastic' rather than paint. This manufacturing process involves potentially dangerous heavy metals, VOCs, artificial additives and preservatives and creates a huge amount of hazardous waste. Indeed the law says that leftover paint should be treated as toxic waste in its disposal. We support this position, but believe that natural paints offer a much safer alternative.

We make our paints differently with traditional formulations which have been adapted to produce paint for modern day use. We do not generate CO2 emissions in the processes and in contrast to the chemicals that comprise synthetic paints we use abundant minerals and renewable raw materials of plant and animal origin, such as milk and beeswax.

We think our paints are a joy to use. They smell of the plant and fruit extracts used to make them, from zesty citrus peel to mellow clove oil. We think you will find the result in your home is simply impossible to replicate with modern synthetic paints.
